- Add information about the phone including the Mac address, Model, and Manufacturer
- Set the phone lines by choosing anything between the “Label”, “Extensions”, and “Line”.
- Set the time zone and language
- Reboot soon after saving
From there, the rest of the process is automatic. The phone will send a multicast message to the IP PBX via the network. In response, the IP PBX assigns a URL to the phone. After automatically downloading the configuration file, the phone goes ahead to apply the settings.
This process is so basic that even newbies can still pull it off. It allows you to add phones in batches when you know their Mac addressed. Remember, you have to enable PnP on the phones.
